Former Army Staff Sgt. Camilo Mejia
Former Army Staff Sgt. Camilo Mejia (1870 - 1917)
Former Army Sgt. Camilo Mejia emigrated to the U.S. in 1994. March of 2003 found him in Iraq, fighting a war he believed to be morally wrong. Failing to return to his unit in October 2003, he was convicted of desertion and sent to prison. He completed his one-year sentence on February 15, 2005.
